Over the years we’ve spent many vacations on Bonaire. This time we spent the month of July at Villa Makoshi. We will surely return again.  The owners went out of their way making sure we enjoyed our stay. The villa, inside a gated community, is spacious and very comfortable. All amenities are in great condition just as they have listed them. The location is excellent with church, grocery, banks, beaches, dive shops, and great dining nearby.  However, we spent most of our time just enjoying the breeze on the wonderful deck or lazing by the inviting pool.  Perfect !!!

We stayed at Villa Makoshi in March 2019. We rarely go to the same destination on a vacation and have never stayed in the same place twice. This place will change that. We plan on going back to Bonaire and will stay at Villa Makoshi again. It is conveniently located across the street from Buddy Dive, Captain Don’s and Sand Dollar. though not ocean view, it is much more private than the resorts, located in a small gated community and very peaceful with tropical landscaping. the upper story deck is wonderful and private and we spent a lot of our time there. There is no noise of cars or nightlife. It is quite an advantage to park next to your unit a few feet from the private rinse tank for each unit with easy storage of dive gear and also has an outdoor shower. The interior space exceeded our expectations and is roomy, clean, and well appointed. With 2.5 baths, it would easily accommodate 2 couples or a family. Both of the ensuite bathrooms are identical and spacious. There are new screens on the windows, and for the few times we needed it, AC in all rooms. Todd is an excellent host. He responded to everything in minutes and was quite helpful. The onsite management team stopped by twice just to see if we needed anything and were quite responsive as well. We rented our car from AB rental and utilized their dive service and were very pleased, but there are innumerable other options for diving even within walking distance. AB rental will pick you up (and take you back) to the airport, and Villa Makoshi is quite easy to find. Drive to town was quite short and restaurants within walking distance. A wonderful Airbnb experience.

This property is set up great for divers or for just a quiet stay. It has everything you need while your there. The location is very convenient to all your needs and great dive sights. The kitchen is well supplied and set up for eating inside and a great exterior deck to enjoy your meals. AC and ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living area. Lots of nice security features with 3 safes and entry gate. There are plenty of screens to let the breeze move through the unit. Internet and cable tv is a also nice to have. Lots of channels in English. There is a wash tank for your gear and lots of places to hang your wet dive gear. The washing machine and the drying rack is also a big plus. I can’t forget the great pool to cool off in and relax. Owner is Quick to answer questions and offer suggestions. Would stay again!

The perfect place for us !!!  4-5 stars 😉

We do visited Bonaire for diving already 10 times and stayed most of the time (x6) at Villa Makoshi. Last stay was end of November 2020.

From all places we booked at Bonaire so far, for us it offers the best fit of what we like & need for a fair price:

The apartment offers a lot of space, comfortable furniture, very good AC in all rooms, mosquito protection for all windows, a wonderful patio/balcony, a nice private pool with palms and sun loungers which is only for the few apartments of this terrain. It invites for a lazy time when not diving. All the infrastructure you need for diving (hangers, washing basin etc) is available. And if you want/need to communicate with the world, the WIFI works very well and fast.

The owners Todd & Mimi are very kind and supportive. If we had a question, an answer came within hours. They organized us 20% off for AB car rental as well as price reductions for diving with Dive Friends which has a very good dive base near by the apartment.

Long story short: We love that place and will return in 2021 !-)
